Lite-On Technology (TW 2301) today reported January consolidated revenue of NT$18.98 billion with a growth of 7% Y-o-Y and a decrease of 7% M-o-M. Core businesses showed steady growth, resulting from stable end-market demand.
     The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 27% share of Lite-On’s overall revenue and achieved a revenue increase of 4% Y-o-Y in January. Thanks to smooth delivery of LED street lighting in North America and Asia, coupled with growing demand for vehicle lighting, consumer and mobiles applications, LED components and lighting products presented a yearly growth of around 30%.
     The Information Technologies business segment accounted for 49% of sales with a revenue growth of 16% Y-o-Y, of which Power Systems posted a yearly growth of over 30% and continued to hit monthly sales record highs resulting from increases in global demand for server power management systems in cloud computing applications, and mobiles devices. Meanwhile, thanks to the ongoing shipment growth of server enclosures and market share gains, as well as the delivery growth of detachable keyboards, Mechanical Competence posted a revenue growth of over 10% Y-o-Y in January.
     Storage accounted for 16% of Lite-On’s total revenue, mainly due to the impact of seasonal slowdown.
