Lite-On Technology (2301-tw) today reported April consolidated revenue of NT$17.17 billion, a decrease of 6% M-o-M and 9% Y-o-Y. Core businesses showed stable order intakes, and cumulative sales for January to April totaled NT$68.72 billion, a decrease of 2% Y-o-Y.
The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 25% share of Lite-On’s overall revenue. Thanks to the smooth delivery of LED street lighting in North America and Asia, coupled with growing demand for vehicle lighting, LED Components and Lighting products achieved revenue growths of over 10% both M-o-M and Y-o-Y.
The Information Technologies business segment accounted for 50% of sales, of which Power Systems’ continuing revenue growth resulted from increases in global demand for server power management systems in cloud computing applications and mobiles devices. Meanwhile, thanks to ongoing market share gains as well as delivery growth, HIS (Human Input Solutions - PC Keyboards and Peripherals) posted sales growths of over 20% Y-o-Y.
The Storage business segment accounted for 14% of total revenue, as a result of seasonality.
