Lite-On Technology (2301-tw) today reported July consolidated revenue of NT$17.48 billion, a decrease of 1% M-o-M and 16% Y-o-Y, mainly due to impacts from slowdowns in worldwide ICT end-market demand. Cumulative sales for January to July totaled NT$120.69 billion.
The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 24% share of Lite-On’s overall revenue. Thanks to high-end camera module shipment growth, coupled with moderate demand for LED products, Optoelectronics’ July revenue grew by 4% M-o-M.
The Information Technologies business segment accounted for 50% of sales, of which Power Systems’ July revenue grew by approximately 10% M-o-M as a result of increases in global demand for server power management systems in cloud computing applications, mobiles devices and game consoles.
The Storage business segment accounted for 15% of total revenue, a result of declining end-demand for PC applications worldwide.
