Lite-On Technology (2301-tw) today reported August consolidated revenue of NT$17.9billion, up 2% M-o-M and a decrease of 7% Y-o-Y, due to the global lukewarm ICT demand. Cumulative sales for January to August totaled NT$138.59 billion.
The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 25% share of Lite-On’s overall revenue with a sales growth of approximately 10% M-o-M. This growth is mainly attributable to moderate demand for LED products, coupled with a nearly 20% M-o-M revenue increase for Camera Module resulting from high-end camera module shipment growth supported by the launches of new smartphones models onto the end market.
The Information Technologies business segment accounted for 50% of sales with consecutive monthly sales growths. Power systems’ August revenue grew by 10% Y-o-Y as a result of increases in global demand for server power management systems in cloud computing applications, mobiles devices and game consoles, while Enclosure posted a revenue growth of over 10% Y-o-Y driven by shipment growths of high-end server enclosure products.
The Storage business segment accounted for 15% of total revenue as a result of declining end-demand for PC applications worldwide, while maintaining the same revenue level as last month.
