Lite-On Technology (2301-tw) today reported October consolidated revenue of NT$20.55 billion, up 4% Y-o-Y and decreased 8% M-o-M, mainly impacted by seasonal less working days in the factories. Thanks to stable market demand of Lite-On’s core business, cumulative sales from January to October totaled NT$186.82 billion, up 4% Y-o-Y.
The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 23% share of Lite-On’s overall revenue. Thanks to the growth of end-demand from invisible LED and ongoing market share gains in LED components, smooth delivery and market expansion of street lighting, the Optoelectronics posted a revenue growth of 3% Y-o-Y in October. The
Information Technologies business accounted for 50% of sales with a revenue growth of 7% Y-o-Y, of which, cloud computing products posted continuous yearly growth, supported by shipment increase of high-end server and networking power management systems as well as high-end server enclosures. Meanwhile, the revenue growth was driven by ongoing market share gains in HIS (Human Input Solutions - PC Keyboards and Peripherals) and delivery growth in laser models of Multi-Function Peripherals.
The Storage business segment accounted for 19% of total revenue with a yearly growth of over 10%, as a result of increasing end demand from cloud computing.
