Lite-On Technology Corp. (TW 2301) today reported May consolidated revenue of NT$10.2 billion, up 2% M-o-M and 1% Y-o-Y and the second highest monthly revenue in 2012, thanks to a favorable order intake in its core business groups. Cumulative sales from January through May reached NT$47.66 billion.
     In May, all of Lite-On’s major businesses showed steady growth. In the Optoelectronics SBG, the LED Lighting components posted a revenue growth of approximately 200% Y-o-Y, boosted by smooth delivery coupled with substantial demand from branded customers. Thanks to the ongoing growth of LED with a full recovery from the impact of the Thai floods and the revenue of the Camera Module has hit new monthly sales record highs for 3 consecutive months for its sequential gains in the global market-share of smart-phoness and PCs, the Optoelectronics SBG posted a remarkable growth of 17% Y-o-Y and 4% M-o-M.. Moreover, the Mechanical Competence business group also posted a growth of 4% M-o-M for delivery growth of all of its business units, while the HIS (Human Input Solutions – PC keyboards and peripherals) business unit posted a remarkable growth of approximately 30% Y-o-Y for ongoing market share gains.
